Sigma’s Art Rewarded.
I have for decades now been baffled as to why we did not see more short range but very high quality and fast maximim aperture lenses.
As a largely people photographer I use a similar range of focal lengths a lot. This Sigma ‘Art’ series lens therefore seems a logical winner of an EISA award to me.
Not shot with it I must confess, but Sigma should be applauded for thinking outside the box a little here to provide a very logical and practical lens, one that promises high quality.
SIGMA 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM | Art has won the EISA Award 2016-2017.
The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce that SIGMA’s second APS-C format zoom lens offering a large F1.8 aperture throughout the zoom range SIGMA 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM | Art has won the “EISA EUROPEAN DSLR ZOOM LENS 2016-2017” Award.
Name of Award: EUROPEAN DSLR ZOOM LENS 2016-2017
Sigma’s 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM Art is a fast telephoto zoom optimized for DSLRs with APS-C image sensors. This latest addition to Sigma’s acclaimed Art series covers three popular focal lengths in one (85mm, 105mm and 135mm equivalent), which makes it a very useful addition to any photographer’s arsenal. The optical design delivers excellent image quality, and the ultrasonic HSM motor provides silent and accurate autofocus. Thanks to the maximum aperture of F1.8, the lens allows creative use of shallow depth of field. Its high build quality and excellent handling are what we have come to expect from Sigma’s Art series.
