Sigma today announced further options for Leica ‘L’ &  Sony ‘E’ mount camera users.

Two extremes in focal length. It has been a long while since I shot with any Sigma optic but both look nicely substantial in build from the images.

Here is a brief description.

Best wishes and good photography.

SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS I Sports

Capture wildlife, aircraft and sports in incredible detail with the all-new SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS | Sports, designed exclusively for full-frame mirrorless cameras. This compact and lightweight lens features SIGMA’s high-speed HLA motor and OS2 algorithm, delivering fast and precise autofocus with 5 stops of effective stabilisation. The use of special exclusive low-dispersion glass elements and precision engineered TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) materials reduce the lens’ overall size to 234.6mm and weight to 1,370g (L-Mount), making it significantly smaller and lighter than the previous SIGMA 500mm F4 DG OS HSM | Sports for DSLRs.

SIGMA 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye I Art

Introducing the SIGMA 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye | Art, the world’s first* full-frame F1.4 diagonal fisheye lens. Capture expansive landscapes, star-filled skies, creative portraits and architecture with its bright F1.4 aperture and 180° angle-of-view. Get an all-new perspective and let your creativity flow with unique images with exaggerated proportions. The lens features a host of useful features for astrophotographers. Its built-in rear filter holder allows for gel-type ND filters to be inserted, a lens heater retainer that prevents heat strips from slipping over the front of the lens, and a unique manual focus lock switch that disables the focus ring.

*As an interchangeable lens for full-frame cameras for consumer use. (As of February 2024)

Both lenses will be available in L-Mount and Sony E-mount.
