Last week saw Focus On Imaging 2011. If I was to offer a general statement, people seemed happy enough with a tinge of cautiousness from exhibitors and established pro’s, but bags of enthusiasm from the enthusiast and new professionals I spoke to.
My thanks again to all those people who sought me out to say hello, and thank me again for training events. I always appreciate that, and I get some valuable feedback.
I was presenting a talk on on the Nikon stand which went well, and with Colour Confidence on theirs, but also performing some ‘live’ shooting demonstrations on the Lastolite stand throughout the show. And my thanks to them as well for inviting me onboard.
While it is only based on a minute number who visited the Nikon stand, my conversations with people I spoke with, showed that the D7000 was a popular camera to see, while those shooting D3s and especially the D700 were very happy. But I was pleased with the number of people who asked me questions about the lenses, beyond the basics, as these in any system make a break a camera.
